Learn to tie in 5 minutes? How does Shibari work?
Anyone who has the idea of acquiring the necessary knowledge of bondage overnight will unfortunately be disappointed. Shibari is characterized by sometimes complicated but artistic knots, ties and rope routing. It requires regular practice and time to consolidate what you have learned and become proficient. Nevertheless, there are some tips on how to make progress quickly. There are many books, shibari tutorials and bondage workshops that can help learn the basics.
Bondage safety first
It is important to learn the basics of Shibari before moving on to more complex techniques. Shibari can be quite dangerous if not done safely. At the beginning, you should always have a pair of scissors ready to hand so that you can quickly free the bondage partner if necessary. The restraint should always be done in such a way that the vascular and nerve pathways are not compressed.
The right bondage partner
Shibari is often practiced in couples, so it's important to find a partner you feel comfortable with and can trust. Communication is the be-all and end-all to ensure the safety and well-being of your partner.
The right rope
